Aluminum chloride and aluminum chlorohydrate are not the same
Both ingredients are antiperspirant actives, but they are usually used in different types of formulas and routines. Comparing products by a familiar word on the label alone is not enough.
Aluminum chlorohydrate
It is commonly found in daily roll-ons and aerosols. These products are usually applied in the morning or after washing unless the manufacturer states otherwise.
Aluminum chloride
It is commonly used in long-lasting overnight products. Completely dry, intact skin, a thin layer and a waiting period after hair removal are especially important with these formulas.
What matters more than the name
