What does this ingredient do in an antiperspirant?
This combined aluminum-zirconium salt temporarily reduces the flow of sweat in the treated area; glycine acts as a buffering component of the complex.

On US labels it is often listed with a percentage in the Active ingredient section. The percentage should only be taken from the exact product version.
The FDA permits the relevant aluminum-zirconium complexes at concentrations up to 20% in non-aerosol products when the monograph requirements are met.
It may cause local irritation on damaged skin. The concentration from another stick made by the same brand should not be assumed to apply.
